Diminished joint function causes limited range of motion, persistent pain and discomfort and is believed to be a hallmark of aging. Yet joint pain is not a normal condition, even if it is common, and it is possible to identify and treat the fundamental cause of inflammation. Clinical studies reveal that certain micronutrients have properties that calm the inflammation response and reduce swelling. Our formula is a synergistic blend of innate (produced in the body) micronutrients, anti-inflammatory compounds, botanicals and herbs that deliver greater positive coefficient results.

Glucosamine sulfate is an innate component of compounds used by the body to build and maintain connective tissue. It is well-tolerated and its confirmed ability to decrease pain and stiffness, reduce joint space narrowing and improve overall functionality and mobility has been extensively researched. Our formula stabilizes the glucosamine sulfate with potassium chloride rather than sodium chloride to avoid unnecessary increases in sodium levels. MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) is derived from the nutritional form of natural biological sulfur innate to all living things. It is the transport molecule for elemental sulfur that helps assimilate the amino acids methionine and cysteine and numerous proteins, enzymes and hormones require it for their smooth functioning. MSM is the bond between proteins and therefore critical to the strength of cellular structure.

Chondroitan Sulfate is related to glucosamine and is manufactured from natural sources such as shark or beef cartilage. Its function is to hold nutrient filled fluids in joint tissues, enhancing the circulation of beneficial nutrients and strengthening cellular regeneration. Used with glucosamine, chondroitan is regarded by medical practitioners using positive clinical trials to be able to halt and, in some cases, reverse joint and tendon degeneration.

Niacinamide, a form of Vitamin B3, was first reported to benefit osteoarthritis in the mid-20th century and subsequent years of clinical studies reaffirm its ability to increase joint mobility and improve arthritic conditions with a reduced need for anti-inflammatory medication. Some researchers believe niacinamide helps inflamed conditions by modifying gene expression and shutting down enzymatic activity that triggers a power drain of mitochondrial energy production.

Better known as the aromatic Indian Frankincense, Boswellia Serrata Extract is the gummy resin of the boswellia tree and part of the tree's own immune system with its antibiotic and antifungal properties. Used as an anti-inflammatory for a thousand years in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to heal many conditions, including painful joints. The innate acids in the extract suppress inflammatory pathways and repair damaged tissue.

Ginger, a popular culinary spice, has been considered a traditional medicine by global cultures as have turmeric and galangal, other plants in the ginger family. Ginger's digestive soothing functions are well known but its overall anti-inflammatory properties and its specific role in quieting inflammation of the joints is a subject of recent research. It is believed that the components in ginger change the synthesis of hormone-like prostaglandins so the inflammation response is never triggered.

Turmeric is another member of the ginger family and the extract we use in this formulation is standardized to contain 95% curcumin, the active compound. Numerous studies attest to curcumin's powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and its role in protecting human cartilage cells suggest its therapeutic potential in joint health.

Rosemary has been used traditionally by numerous cultures for pain relief and recent animal studies strongly suggest that rosemary leaf extracts offer a way to decrease sensitivity to pain in addition to dampening the inflammation response.
