Customer Service/Sales/Technical Support

Full-Time, In-House Career Opportunity

Are you passionate about your commitment to the healing profession and are you looking for a job where you can truly make a difference in people's lives?

Moss Nutrition Products, Inc. is seeking a special person who can represent our company in a way that serves both our needs and the needs of our customers.  We sell nutritional products to Health Care Professionals and to their patients, who order prescribed items. The ideal candidate should be a true "people person" - possessing a genuine joy and desire for being of service to humanity, while also being adept on the computer and quick at learning and remembering systems and processes.  If you can combine these with your nutrition knowledge and a thirst for learning even more while on the job, plus an ability to relate to customers in a way that is friendly and ethical as well as profitable for Moss Nutrition, the health care practitioner, and his or her patients, then you will be an ideal candidate for our team.  You will find the most satisfaction from this position if you love people, embody health and fitness values, can type fast, are energetic, responsible and honest.

Though not required, applicants who have had a clinical nutrition practice may find this position rewarding if you enjoy helping many people each day, but do not wish to have the responsibilities of a full-time practice.  If you can enjoy performing customer service functions on the telephone for the majority of the day, embracing sales opportunities as they arise, then your experience as a clinician will be an added bonus for us.  In addition, we feel that your discussions with our clientele can provide a rare opportunity to gain ongoing knowledge about ways to improve your own efforts at patient care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS and DUTIES:

  • You must possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a genuine joy for talking about and answering questions about nutrition - or whatever our customers want to talk about, from returns and lost shipments to the weather and their kids.  You must enjoy engaging customers in discussions aimed to foster the deepening of the relationship: Our business thrives on repeat customers.  You must be fluent in English - both written and spoken.  Your primary role will be talking to both patients and health care professionals by telephone for the majority of the day.  Most of your calls will be incoming; customers will place orders and ask questions.  You may also be making some targeted outgoing calls to customers each day.
  • You must possess an ability to sell based on increasing customer satisfaction rather than manipulating customers into purchasing items that they may not really want or need.  You will be most effective if you are a 'people person', if you enjoy developing meaningful relationships, are assertive and take initiative, and if you take great satisfaction in being of service to others.
  • You must possess excellent typing, computer, and telephone skills. You must be comfortable with performing these activities for much of the day. You must be accurate and efficient at data entry using our Windows-based software system.  You must be proficient in touch-typing, with a speed of 60 words per minute or more.
  • You must possess high energy and be a quick learner.  You must be an outstanding achiever, with very high stamina, endurance, and focus on work activities.  You must be willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done, and on time.  You achieve above-average levels of success and are results oriented.
  • You must possess a cooperative manner and a desire to help whenever you are needed during the day.  In our company, everyone is a team player.  Your secondary role will be helping co-workers with pulling orders and packing boxes, on an as-needed rotation basis.  You may also be asked to perform some administrative tasks.
  • You must possess a willingness to attend occasional meetings that occur after hours, some are spontaneous.  Those that are scheduled in advance, include, but are not limited to weekly team meetings, weekly lunch meetings, and monthly telephone conference calls, monthly webinars.  Meeting topics range from office procedures and training issues to deepening your knowledge of our products and how they are used so that you know how to sell them.  In addition, It is also expected that you will read our monthly newsletters, view our 'Moss Minutes' on our website, and take advantage of our many learning tools on an independent basis.
